It's funny what kind of effects alcohol have on people. I think every type of alcohol should have a disclaimer stating that drinking alcohol may cause an emotional roller coaster.
Today, in general, was such a relaxing day. No workouts, running, or work. I just chilled at home and did a couple loads of laundry. I then headed out to meet some kick ass friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. Cheap wings, good beer, and even better company made my night.... until the drive home.
Fuck man. It's like a broken record. My blogs have turned into this emo journal that most of you are probably sick of reading. Sorry, but it sucks. I'm good for a moment, but then I'm stuck alone with alcohol in my system and everything just goes to shit. Even when I'm not intoxicated, same fucking story. FUCK! It doesn't matter what I do, she pops up in my fucking head and I can't stop. Can you blame me though? She has made such an impact on my life and that was just thrown away. Like a fucking piece of scratch paper. Ok, maybe not that easily, but I don't really know how she feels. It's just the bitterness in me doing the talking.
Fuck!

Car Shoot!
Jeff the Chef asked me to shoot his MK1 before he gives it to his brother (yeah wtf was he thingking). It turned out to be a fkn awesome time. I was able to gather up some OG VW heads for a late night get together. Me, Jeff, Rob, JayB, and Herman. Too bad BKosty and Uncle Troy couldn't be there.
Due to bad weather, I was forced to keep the shoot in Kailua. So, we went to Kailua Long's parking lot. bwahaha. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the lighting wasn't bad. Empty parking lot, decent lighting, and green walls, made for a good shoot for the MK1. We started around 10:30pm-ish and didn't get out of there until almost 2. Good times! On with the pics.
Herman's shoot is this Sunday. Praying for good weather. We had to cancel last week! =(
I have a couple more people on the Vortex that want me to shoot their cars also. We'll see where this goes! =)

HerraFrush IV
Thank you Tsunami for ruining a Saturday, but thank God it was really nothing. The HellaFlush crew was holding their car show on Saturday, but due to the state of emergency, it got pushed back to Sunday. I think this is probably the reason for a dismal showing of cars. Some people probably had other things planned and the weather wasn't the best. With that being said, the weather made for some crappy photos. I tried saving them in post process, then I just got lazy. Turned out OK.
As I walked around with Kai, there really were some impressive cars, but over all it didn't live up to the hype. HF motto is "Offset is everything!". Well, some cars just didn't belong there. Stock Celica with Lambo doors? O'Rly? Balloon tires. A couple of the xB's were pretty nice, but like i've said before, most of them were rockin balloon tires. You might say, "Who am I to judge?" Well, these people did enter their car into a show which really sets them up for critique.
I caught up with some old VW heads which was pretty cool. It made me miss the "old" days when we were a pretty close knit group. Well at least the Kailua bunch was. We have now moved on to other things. Maybe someone can get a BBQ going or maybe I can setup a shoot. We'll see. On with the pics.

Mayer Hawthorne
Last night I went to see Mayer Hawthorne with Jeff and met up with Jamie. I not one to claim that i've been listening to him for a while, but i just discovered his music early December. The first track I heard was "Maybe So, Maybe No". I was hooked. I downloaded his album and the cd has been in my car since.
I was going into this concert with high expectations and let me tell you, he didn't disappoint. His live performance was fkn awesome. Everyone singing along and dancing to every song. This was pretty much my first "underground" concert. It wasn't the typical "mainstream" concert I was use to. This stuff was something different. The vibe was something I can't explain. This is a good thing. It was filled with great music and a great crowd. I will definitely be attending more concerts like this!
PS - I now hate the iPhone camera even more. =p

Such is life..
Days have turned into weeks and weeks will turn into months. It's not going to happen. There once was a little hope left, but that has all gone away. I use to want time to slow down when I was with you, but now, I just want it to fly. The faster time goes, the faster I get over this heartache. Well at least the stage of denial is over and done with. LOL. Such is life...
