Ahhhhhhhh!

Nothing like coming home from a loooooong day at work and popping open a nice cold beer. I just wish it was a New Castle, but moke beer will suffice. I don't know how I did it before. Start at 7am-12pm at Longs, then 1230pm-2am at FMC. Did that daily. I must be getting old. Well maybe it's because I started at 430am. I'm sure I would have been ok if I started at 9am or so. =p

Anyway, I've been in love with my "new" Canon 30D. After shooting Kalaheo Class of 89 reunion, I really want to try to get my name out there. Nothing really big. Maybe just a few small gigs as a side job. I'm learning more and more when it comes to shooting and photo edits. Photoshop CS3 + Lightroom 2 = WIN! In my opinion, my edits have been fkn great. I have a few coworkers that want me to take pics of their kids. So hopefully the word gets around and I can make some beer money doing something I really love.

I've been really into the whole panoramic thing lately. I went to Kauai last week and I was pretty disappointed in a bunch of the pics. =/ Only a few came out ok. Here's one that I really like.

Back in the game!

Last week I finally picked up a "new" camera. The 300D has been broke for almost 2 years now. I found a 30D on craigs for dirt! I'm super stoked. I never really got to go out and shoot, but I did get some test shots. Faka is mean!

First real "shoot" is on Thursday. I get to shoot a reunion at D&B. Should be interesting. I just wish I had a flash to use. Gonna have to do my best with what I have. 18-55mm kit lens and the nifty 50.

Hopefully for my dirty 30, I can convince Lorna to get me a lens or even cough up money for an underwater housing. Wishful thinking, but doesn't hurt to ask. Bwahaha.
