Fishy!

Guess who has a new hobby? After many trip to the pet store with Lorna, I felt the need to build an aquarium. A saltwater aquarium! There were many people saying that it's so much cheaper to just have a freshwater tank, but then there were also a bunch that said a saltwater tank isn't much more. Undecided, I picked up a 29 gallon tank with hood and light. JonJon had a Penguin BioWheel 200 filter, powerhead, and stand that he gave me. I asked how much he wanted for it, he said to just buy him ice cream! Score! After looking at the empty tank sitting in my room, I've decided to build a saltwater aquarium. I've been tweaking every chance I get. Reading forums, websites, etc. Researching products and seeing pics of tanks just gets me excited. I know for a fact it will cost money and take up some time, but the end reward will be great. Reef aquariums are also a hobby that me and Lorna can enjoy together. Should be fun.

Fingers Crossed

Since I didn't get into the RT program at KCC, I decided to check programs at other schools. California, Oregon, Washington, and Las Vegas were my states of choice. Well after many emails, Tacoma Community College replied on Thursday. The program director told me that classes had already started in the summer, but if all my credits transfer, he will be willing to let me start this fall and just take the summer class I missed next summer. Fuck yeah. The Fall semester starts on Sept 14. Yeah that soon! I pray to God that everything is transferable and that I can come up with the funds to pay for a plane ticket, tuition, and books. I would hate that money is the reason why I couldn't go to school.

I send in my transcripts tomorrow and hope that things go my way. I will be leaving Kai and the gf to finish school. It's a sacrifice that I must make to better my life along with theirs. Although, the I have planted the seed in the gf's head to move with me. lol. We'll see where it goes. I just hope things work out. I want to start my life already. Cross your fingers, pray, whatever it is that you do. I need all the help I can get.
