Fingers Crossed

Since I didn't get into the RT program at KCC, I decided to check programs at other schools. California, Oregon, Washington, and Las Vegas were my states of choice. Well after many emails, Tacoma Community College replied on Thursday. The program director told me that classes had already started in the summer, but if all my credits transfer, he will be willing to let me start this fall and just take the summer class I missed next summer. Fuck yeah. The Fall semester starts on Sept 14. Yeah that soon! I pray to God that everything is transferable and that I can come up with the funds to pay for a plane ticket, tuition, and books. I would hate that money is the reason why I couldn't go to school.

I send in my transcripts tomorrow and hope that things go my way. I will be leaving Kai and the gf to finish school. It's a sacrifice that I must make to better my life along with theirs. Although, the I have planted the seed in the gf's head to move with me. lol. We'll see where it goes. I just hope things work out. I want to start my life already. Cross your fingers, pray, whatever it is that you do. I need all the help I can get.

Ahhhhhhhh!

Nothing like coming home from a loooooong day at work and popping open a nice cold beer. I just wish it was a New Castle, but moke beer will suffice. I don't know how I did it before. Start at 7am-12pm at Longs, then 1230pm-2am at FMC. Did that daily. I must be getting old. Well maybe it's because I started at 430am. I'm sure I would have been ok if I started at 9am or so. =p

Anyway, I've been in love with my "new" Canon 30D. After shooting Kalaheo Class of 89 reunion, I really want to try to get my name out there. Nothing really big. Maybe just a few small gigs as a side job. I'm learning more and more when it comes to shooting and photo edits. Photoshop CS3 + Lightroom 2 = WIN! In my opinion, my edits have been fkn great. I have a few coworkers that want me to take pics of their kids. So hopefully the word gets around and I can make some beer money doing something I really love.

I've been really into the whole panoramic thing lately. I went to Kauai last week and I was pretty disappointed in a bunch of the pics. =/ Only a few came out ok. Here's one that I really like.

Back in the game!

Last week I finally picked up a "new" camera. The 300D has been broke for almost 2 years now. I found a 30D on craigs for dirt! I'm super stoked. I never really got to go out and shoot, but I did get some test shots. Faka is mean!

First real "shoot" is on Thursday. I get to shoot a reunion at D&B. Should be interesting. I just wish I had a flash to use. Gonna have to do my best with what I have. 18-55mm kit lens and the nifty 50.

Hopefully for my dirty 30, I can convince Lorna to get me a lens or even cough up money for an underwater housing. Wishful thinking, but doesn't hurt to ask. Bwahaha.

F*ck My Life v2.0

I got the news yesterday. And it wasn't good news. I didn't get into the Respiratory program at KCC. 35 applied and they took in 16. I was #19 thanks to the 2 "C" grades. Should I hang myself now or later? David Carradine style! haha. ok bad joke. My life is just put on hold for a while. It really sucks. I had fucking plans. Big fucking plans. And it's put on hold. Where do I go from here?

Options.
#1) Retake classes and apply at KCC next year.
#2) Retake classes and apply at schools in the mainland.

I'm currently looking at option #2. Maybe it will be better for me. Maybe I need to get away. Maybe I should move somewhere NOT in the west coast. I'll fkn move to Maine. Boise. Idunno. Somewhere different. haha. On the down side.. where the fuck would I live. WA and Las Vegas, I have family.

Trying to stay positive is hard. It's something I have to do, but not today. I'll just sulk in my room. Tomorrow is a new day.

Cheeeeee!

This is by far my favorite vacation. So fkn fun and relaxing. Chilled with Jeff and Brandon, now kicking it with the family. God has blessed my vacation with such beautiful weather. My stay in Oregon was short, but memorable. Brandon took us where ever we wanted and to some pretty awesome places to eat.

While in Washington, I'm pretty much just kicking it with the fam bam. My diet has been BBQ and beer. lol. Seriously. We bbq every chance we get. Also got to meet up with some friends. They took me to the Red Hook Brewery "tour". It was pretty much go inside and try all their beers for only $1.

Tonight was awesome. Went to a Mariners game and we had some kick ass seats. 4 rows up from the right field fence. Right behind Ichiro! <3 haha. M's were ahead and it got better in the 8th. Homerun about 5 rows behind us and to the right. Screaming and yelling.. "Wooohoooo! That was close!" Then.... of all players, Ken fucking Griffey Jr smacks one to right field directly at us. Ball is caught literally 2 rows in front of us! "Cheeeeeee!" Mokes celebrate! We made ESPN and King5 news. What a fkn day!

12 Years!

Today marks 12 years since I've graduated high school! Holy shit I'm getting old. I went to Nate's graduation yesterday and it was pretty awesome. Well, the dinner part was. Buffet at Kuhio Grill @ the Mariott. Winnahs! Family + all you can eat prime rib + beers = win! Good times. Towards the end of the night, I was beat. Woke up at 345am for work and no nap the entire day. Finally crashed at 11pm.

Me and Jeff leave for the PNW tomorrow. It's gonna be great. We get to party it up with Brandon. Do like we use to when he was here. 3 of us. Food and lots of New Castles! WERD!

And today, I just watched Ip Man. If you like kung fu, this movie is pretty fkn bad ass. Seriously. It was good. Go watch it! Here's the trailor.
